Ejay Falcon's Victorious Night

Nicky Wang/Manila Standard: The moment that all had been waiting for started when the countdown for the last minute of text voting was announced.

The two girls were the ones who first appeared onstage. Beauty with 10.91 percent or 186,523 votes was announced as the PBB Teen 4th Big Placer. Nikki follows suit as PBB Teen 3rd Big Placer, garnering 18.39 percent or 314,582 votes.

The two boys remained inside the cubicle where the Teen Big Four stayed during the entire show before the winners were proclaimed. Based on the tally, the two boys were neck-and-neck; they even switched ranks at times. Robi was awarded the PBB Teen 2nd Big Placer, with 34.39 percent or 588,115 votes.

Finally, with 36.31 percent or 620,934 votes, Ejay emerged as the PBB Teen Big Winner taking home P1 million, a condominium unit at Château Valenzuela, a business franchise from Crystal Clear drinking water worth P1.5 million and a Sony Bravia plasma TV.

The Teen Big Winner
Ejay Falcon was born on Nov. 21, 1989. Towering at six feet tall, he endeared himself to the followers of the reality TV show with his good looks and down-to-earth attitude. He left his hometown Pola, Oriental Mindoro and went to Manila to find his biological mother. He was disappointed when he found out his mother has another family.

According to his profile in the PBB Teen Edition Plus Web site, this shy rural lad grew up with his stepfather. His biological father is a Frenchman. During his first visit in Manila, he confessed that he had troubles dealing with technological gadgets and even elevators. He is a courageous and determined young adult who would do whatever it takes to free his family from poverty. He regards poverty as the main reason why his parents’ marriage was ruined. He dreams big for his family that even if he is granted one wish, he’d not ask for fame but for his family to be together again.

Ejay is Not a Callboy

By REYMA BUAN-DEVEZA/abs-cbnNEWS.com: Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus' Big Winner Ejay Falcon denied rumors that he is a former callboy (male prostitute) and had a past gay relationship.

In an interview, the young model defended himself and denied that he had gay relationships.

Ejay even confirmed that up to now he is still a virgin and never had a sex with women or gays.

"Opo, virgin pa po ako, torpe po ako dati, torpe talaga,” the teen said.

To prove his manhood, Ejay shared that he had already two sweethearts in the past. The fact was, before he entered the most famous house in the land -- the Pinoy Big Brother house he just broke up with his girlfriend who is based in Mindoro.

He cited that a long distance affair will not work for him.

Pursuing Valerie
Inside the house, Falcon found his new love. He fell in love with PBB's "Dazzling Doll" Valerie.

Ejay was quiet and shy during his first weeks inside the PBB house; he just kept his feelings towards Valerie secret.

As time passed however, he learned to opened up and decided to court Valerie.

Now that he is in the outside world, Ejay reiterated that he is still in love with the Filipina-German and he will continue to woo the latter.

"Opo tuloy (ang panliligaw). Basta in love po ako," Ejay said.

The teen also said that he is keeping his hopes up and recalls how Valerie told him that he's important to her and that she also likes him.

Ejay, 18, who hails from Mindoro, was proclaimed the Big Winner of PBB Teen Edition Plus last Saturday, June 7.

Right from the start, Falcon showed that he's always ready to take on any challenge, fueled by his desire to free his family from the poverty that broke his parents' marriage.

This was particularly evident during their Puerto Princesa adventure wherein he bravely faced and completed the physical tasks. He also showed how good a son he is during an emotional encounter with foster dad Erning.

During that conversation, Ejay admitted to his foster dad that he knew all along that they were not biologically related. Ejay however said that he continues to love his foster father as his real dad, despite the truth.

Reporters Misunderstood My Dad

Madami talagang intrigero at intrigera sa showbiz ano? Marami diyan gustong siraan si Ejay. Stop it people. Stop it.

Reyma Buan-Deveza/abs-cbnNEWS.com: It hasn't been a week since Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus Big Winner Ejay Falcon won the grand prize in the TV reality show, but he already has his hands full swatting away at rumors and intrigues hounding him.

After denying rumors that he had a past gay relationship and was once a male prostitute, Ejay now has to protect his foster dad Erning from accusations of having grown big-headed and arrogant after Ejay won the PBB Teen Edition grand prize.

In ABS-CBN's daily morning show "Umagang Kay Ganda," Ejay defended his foster dad, saying that the latter is the same person as before.

Rumors that Ejay's foster dad Erning has become big-headed started spreading after he was interviewed by some reporters during a press conference. According to the rumor, Erning belittled the P400,000 cash amount he received from PBB show as the first Guardian Big Winner.

Erning also denied a rumor about how he supposedly used the money to buy votes for his son Ejay.

Wala akong bibitawang pera doon," said Erning.

(When the text voting happened, I had not received a single cent from ABS-CBN yet. The money had not been turned over to me. So the votes my son received really came out of the support of the audience.)

Erning also said that he would never spend P400,000 just to buy votes--he would much rather spend such an amount on the welfare of his children.

(It's not true. If you ask me, it's not such a big amount. I would use it on my children's education. It's only P400,000. It's not wealth that belongs to me. I won't be able to bring it to the grave.)

Falcon said that his father's statement was only misinterpreted by reporters, pointing out that his father is not used to attending press conferences.

Underdog Image Helped Ejay Win

Sunstar Cebu/Roger Serna: EAT your heart out, guardian John (whatever his family name is, I’m not a bit interested now as before), father of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Teen Edition Plus ex-housemate Kevin.

As I said last week, with John’s haughtiness (could be driven by envy?), looking down on Ejay Falcon during the time when the guardians, house players and the evicted housemates acted as members of the council, he has unwittingly endorsed Ejay’s “candidacy” for the big winner slot.

Despite having a Filipina wife, John still hasn’t realized that Filipinos love to support and cuddle underdogs, the downtrodden, the marginalized.

On the other hand, if John merely followed a “script” provided to him, the “scriptwriter” has succeeded in striking a delicate chord in the hearts of the Filipino viewers as they went out of their way to cast their votes on Ejay in the last stretch of the reality show.

And, as they say, the rest is history.

Alex, Valerie, and Nan Were Rooting For Ejay

THE Big Dome looked like an arena where people chanted the names of their candidates in the recently-concluded search for PBB Teen Edition.

The Big Four, Ejay, Robi, Nicole and Beauty looked nervous during the last-minute voting period. Although some didn’t think voting through text was an accurate way of judging, we should bear in mind that the show won’t be possible without the sponsorship of big telecommunication companies.

As it turned out, it was Ejay who won. But if you ask the audience inside the Big Dome, they believed Robi (Domingo) deserves to win more than Ejay. Robi may not have the looks of a debonair, but he is the clean-cut boy-next-door type who in more ways than one reminds us of the late Rico Yan. He has a good background and he’s the epitome of a modern-day young role model, well-heeled, educated in one of the finest schools and, most of all, God-fearing.

We are not saying that Ejay (Falcon) is not worthy of his winning. His height and looks are to his advantage, a big passport to being a matinee idol.

Even the evicted PBB housemates like Alex, Valerie and Nan during an interview were all rooting for Ejay.

But we are sure, there is rooms in showbiz waiting for runners up like Robi. [source]

Ejay Falcon Interview in The Buzz

A day after he emerged as the big winner of Pinoy Big Brother, Ejay Falcon had an interview with the Buzz. I'm sure the reality that he is now famous and a star is just starting to sink in. Your fans are behind you Ejay!

I find both Ruffa Gutierrez and Boy Abunda very irritating but I had to watch this segment because of Ejay.

Ejay News

Si Ejay Falcon ang PBB Teen Big Winner, teen housemate Robi got the se-cond place, Nicole came third and Beauty was the fourth placer.

Hmmn, not bad.

[source]

PBB Teens: Rich vs. Poor?

It was the classic tale of ma-yaman vs. mahirap.

And we were right all along na mananalo si Ejay dahil mas maraming mahihirap dito sa Pilipinas ka-hit sabihin pang mas ma-pera ang mga taga-Ateneo.

But of course, kung ga-nito ang pagbabasehan na-min, we are being unfair to both Ejay and Robi.

Panahon din ng boys ngayon, kasi dalawang lalaki ang naglaban for the top spot this season.

In the same manner, itutuloy pa ba ng ABS-CBN ang loveteam nina Beauty at Alex?

Abangan! [source]

Ejay News Update

[Source]

Ejay's Mohawk

Even if his hair looks weird, there is no doubt that Ejay Falcon is still super cute. Go Ejay!!!! Good luck sa inyong bagong showiz career.

What Others Are Saying of Ejay's Win

Inquirer: EJ Falcon, the college dropout from Oriental Mindoro, edged out Robi Domingo, an honor student from Ateneo de Manila High School, on the finals night of the ABS-CBN reality show "Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus."

The 18-year-old Falcon garnered 36.31 percent or 620,934 text votes, while Domingo, also 18 years old, received 34.39 percent or 588,116 text votes.

During the finals show held at the Araneta Coliseum on Saturday night, an incredulous-looking Falcon could only mutter "Maraming salamat po!" (Thank you!)" after being declared the Big Winner, which comes with a P1 million cash prize and a new condo unit.

Second placer Domingo won P500,000, third placer Nicole Uysiuseng won P300,000 and fourth placer Beauty Gonzalez won P200,000.

A total of 1,710,155 text votes were cast this year, according to PBB director and Business Unit head Laurenti Dyogi.

It was a close fight between the two boys, Dyogi confirmed. "During the week-long voting, Robi was leading. Until the night of the finals, Robi was ahead. It was only in the last hour of voting that Ejay overtook him."

Famewatcher: Yay. Congratulations to Ejay Falcon. He's been my favorite since Day One of PBB Teens+ so I'm really glad he won. So it's guaranteed that we will be seeing more of him in the future. Congratulations too to the other three housemates who made it to the big four: Robi Domingo, Nicole Uysiuseng, and Beauty Gonzales.

From the very start, Ejay, Robi and Nicole were the favorites. I'm basing this on blog visitors who reached us at Fame Watcher via the search engines. These three were the most googled housemates. And they also lead the informal poll survey we conducted in the blog. So I'm not surprised that they made it all the way to the big four.

mk101: I knew you’d win the game! I knew it and I was not mistaken. I didn’t vote and spent a single cent for voting but you were my bet. I am so happy for you and I know your family is so proud of you. Yeah! Congratulations for being the New PBB Teen Big Winner. You’re such a cutie! Can’t wait too see in the Big Screen!

Your dad won the title as well as the First PBB Guardian Big Winner. Congratulations to the both you Big FALCONS!

Filipinasoul: Ejay! Ejay! Ejay! Dubbed as the “Promdie Hottie”, Ejay Falcon emerged as the newest Grand Winner of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition! Always a favorite of the fans, housemates, crowd and our own readers, the Mindoro native bested the three other finalist last night at the Araneta Coliseum.

Ayun po. Marami po talagang admirers si Ejay.

Congratulations, Ejay!

Congratulations, Ejay Falcon. You so deserve the win. Let's all celebrate, Ejay fans.
